Bizzarro to host free Kids Summer Safety Expo Saturday

Representative welcomes families, children for hands-on event

ERIE, June 8 – Providing the information families and parents need to find safe activities and services for their kids this summer, state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro will host his free Kids Summer Safety Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The event will take place at Corner Grounds, located at the corner of Peninsula Drive and 12th Street in Millcreek Township.

“I’m really excited about hosting an event that caters to parents and children alike,” Bizzarro said. “Children can enjoy activities and take part in hands-on demonstrations, while parents can find the information they need in order to better plan a summer that’s fun for the whole family.”

Refreshments will be available. A train ride, archery demonstrations, and a touch-a-truck section will encourage youngsters to enjoy an up-close and hands-on experience with multiple vehicles.

More than 20 organizations – including state and local agencies, nonprofits and local businesses – will attend with information on educational, recreational, healthy resources and community services for families and their children.
