Looking for a property tax or rent rebate? I can help.

The first step is making sure you qualify. The latest eligibility requirements from the Department of Revenue for the 2020 filing year are:

  • Pennsylvanians age 65 and older;
  • Widows and widowers age 50 and older;
  • People with permanent disabilities age 18 and older.

The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, and half of your Social Security and/or Railroad Retirement income is excluded. Spouses, personal representatives or estates may also file rebate claims on behalf of claimants who lived at least one day in 2020 and meet all other eligibility criteria.

You can file online if you prefer, and my office staff is always ready to help. You can call the office at (814)-835-2880 to book an appointment. Before you come, you'll need to gather:

  • Pennsylvania Photo ID or Driver’s License (for first-time applicants)

  • Proof of all 2020 income

  • Stamped PAID 2020 property tax receipts for home owners

  • PA Rent Certificate for renters

  • If you prefer direct deposit of your rebate, please bring your checking or savings routing and account numbers
