Briggs, PennEnvironment to deliver 20,000 signatures supporting legislation to ban “Styrofoam” food containers
KING OF PRUSSIA, Oct. 30 – State Rep. Tim Briggs, D-Montgomery, will join PennEnvironment staff, volunteers and members to deliver 20,000 signatures from concerned Pennsylvanians in support of Briggs’ House Bill 2560 which would ban the distribution of single-use polystyrene (Styrofoam) cups and food in Pennsylvania.
Briggs and PennEnvironment will also be joined by local fishermen and anglers, restauranteurs, conservation leaders, and others for the delivery of these signatures and to discuss why tackling polystyrene pollution is a priority for them.
