Briggs sworn in for 6th term representing the 149th District

HARRISBURG, Jan. 2 – State Rep. Tim Briggs, D-Montgomery, was sworn in Tuesday at the state Capitol to begin his sixth term representing the 149th Legislative District in Montgomery County.

“I am thankful to have the support of the people of Montgomery County to continue to fight for them in the new legislative session,” Briggs said. “It has been an honor to represent the 149th for the last five terms and I am enthusiastic to get started working again to improve the quality life for all Pennsylvanians.”

His legislative goals mirror the recently unveiled Plan4PA, a comprehensive strategy from the House Democratic Caucus that is focused on putting people first. Major components of the plan include job creation, affordable health care, a fair economy and quality schools.

“My priorities continue to be those of my constituents, investing in education, protecting and improving access to health care, protecting our environment and creating an economy that works for everyone – not just special interests.”

Briggs' top commitment has been to be accessible and provide high-level constituent service through his District Office. His office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and is located at 554 Shoemaker Road, Suite 149 in King of Prussia and can be reached at (610) 768-3135.
