Exploring the state pardons process focus of Bullock event tonight

PHILADELPHIA, March 29 – State Rep. Donna Bullock, D-Phila., in partnership with Lt. Gov. Mike Stack, is hosting an event tonight to help people understand how to seek a pardon with the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons.

The Pathways to Pardons event will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Philadelphia Technician Training Institute/Berean Institute, 1901 W. Girard Ave.

"A record of a non-violent crime sometimes can be an impediment to getting a job or seeking other opportunities, even when that's not indicative of who the record holder is anymore," Bullock said. "Tonight's event is an opportunity for people to learn more about the pardons process and how they or their loved ones could benefit from this program."

Those interested in attending the event may be people with a criminal past, attorneys, employers, counselors, elected officials and clergy.

The program will provide an overview of the program, help residents better understand the pardon process and discuss the requirements for an application to be considered. Questions from the audience will be taken.
