Burns, Crime Stoppers to host ‘Bless the Badge’ lunch event for Cambria County law enforcement

JOHNSTOWN, May 21 — To thank local law enforcement for serving and protecting the residents of Cambria County, state Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, along with Cambria County Crime Stoppers, will host a “Bless the Badge” Event and Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, June 4.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Solomon’s Run Firemen’s Club, 176 Mt. Airy Dr., Johnstown.

Free lunch will be provided, and clergy will be on hand to bless officers’ badges.

“It’s important to me that our local law enforcement officers know that they are appreciated,” Burns said. “I also like to stay in close touch with our local law enforcement community so I can help them with any resources they need from the state. They are there for us, and we need to be there for them.”

All law enforcement officers in Cambria County are invited. To RSVP, those interested can call either of Burns’ district offices at 814-536-8400 or 814-472-8021.
