On June 12th, I hosted a leadership breakfast alongside Year Up! This event brought together local business leaders, legislators, and educators for a conversation focused on Year Ups workforce readiness program and the importance of ensuring viable options for young adults. I want to thank all our panelists which included myself, Councilman Thomas, Giance Grossman, Year Up United Associate Director of Corporate Engagement Victoria Fear, and Merick's Associate Director of Talent Acquisition Beverly Miller! Thank you for making this event even more special.

On June 12th, My office was at the ribbon-cutting of the new Sonia Sanchez Mural at Weavers Way Co-Op! This was a great event, bringing together the community to celebrate great art being added to our community. Thank you, Mural Arts and Weavers Way, for sharing this beautiful artwork with our community! It’s art like this that helps to bring us together!

On June 16th, Team Carroll went to support our Germantown Violence prevention organizations: 5 Shorts Project and E.M.I.R. Every Murder Is Real Healing Center as they were recognized by the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office for the violence prevention work that has contributed to Philly's historic crime reductions. Both groups have recently completed Cohort #1 of the DAO's DATA CoLab program - receiving DATA support for their remarkable work. Thank you for what you for making our community a safer community!

On June 18th, I gathered with House colleagues and other elected officials for a special breakfast to honor our ancestors hosted by the Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative! This gave us a moment to reflect, honor, and pay respects to everyone who helped shape our collective future. It was wonderful to be here, and I want to thank the Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative for inviting me out to this event!

On June 18th, I spoke at Caring People Alliance’s Graduation Celebration for their 8th and 12th grade youth. I was happy to honor them with a citation and offer them some words of encouragement as they embark on their next steps! Thank you to Caring for People Alliance for helping guide youth in their most influential period of their learning development. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things these graduates go off to do!

On Juneteenth, Team Carroll Celebrated at the African American Museum in Philadelphia for their 50th Birthday and The Juneteenth Festival! It was filled with so much history, culture, and legacy! I was happy to be there and share this moment alongside our Governor, Josh Shapiro! Thank you, African American Museum in Philadelphia, for always preserving and honoring the legacy of the African American community!

On June 20th, I honored Johnson House at their 20th annual Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival! I was happy to provide them with an honorary citation for all the work they’ve done to preserve African American history and culture. Grateful to be able to celebrate the freedom of our community right here in Germantown! Thank you, Johnson House, for all that you do; here’s to another 20 years!

On June 20th, Team Carroll was at the Homeownership Conference, which I hosted alongside Councilman Anthony Phillips and Senator Art Haywood! This conference was geared towards making sure our homeowners are prepared and aware of the various resources available from the city, state, and community organizations. Thank You, Senator Haywood and Councilman Phillips, for helping put together this wonderful event for our neighbors!

On June 22nd, my district office summer interns came to Harrisburg! I am thrilled that they got to experience one of the most beautiful state Capitol buildings in our country! They got a tour of the Capitol and were honored in the House chamber by our great Speaker Joanna McClinton! This is just the beginning of their wonderful journey at my office so be sure to welcome them when you stop by!
