Carroll applauds over $300,000 in grant funding coming to his district

State Rep. Andre D. Carroll has announced that more than $300,000 in grant funding from the Violence Intervention & Prevention and Building Opportunities Through Out-Of-School Time programs will support the following projects within the 182nd Legislative District:

--$77,031 to Buildabridge International

--$182,400 to Northwest Victim Services

--$117,883 to Shoot Basketballs Not People

“These investments represent a commitment to strengthening our neighborhoods and supporting the organizations that serve our community, specifically our young people, every day,” said Carroll. “Youth violence prevention is one of my top priorities, so this funding coming into our community is a huge win.”

The purpose of the Violence Intervention & Prevention Program is to provide grants to address community violence throughout the Commonwealth. The purpose of the Building Opportunities Through Out-Of-School Time Program is to expand OST structured programming opportunities for at-risk school-age youth.
