Meeting with our Future Voters
|
Our civic engagement and understanding of the importance of voting starts at a young age, and it was wonderful to take part in that education this week! I joined Principal Lopez-Sanchez from Lauers Park Elementary School to read "Vote for Our Future" to 95 fourth graders.
Thank you to Lauers Park for this wonderful opportunity and the chance to connect with our future voters and leaders!

Welcoming House Leadership to Reading
|
I had the honor of joining my colleagues who also represent parts of Reading, Reps. Manny Guzman and Jacklyn Rusnock, in welcoming Appropriations Committee Chairman, Rep. Jordan Harris, for a tour of our wonderful city!
Our tour included a discussion on the prospective Skybridge project to connect the DoubleTree Hotel and Santander Arena, a tour of BCIU Learning Center to learn more about our youth education, and a stop at the second floor of GoggleWorks, where potential options for tenancy are being explored.
I am grateful to Chairman Harris for taking the time to tour our beautiful community, and I look forward to working with him and his committee to secure funding for projects like these!

Working to Prevent Childhood Lead Exposure
|
I had the honor of presenting to the Lead-Free Promise Project, which is working to create a future with reduced exposure to lead for our children.
Lead exposure can lead to lifelong consequences, and it is critical that we keep exposure extremely low to non-existent. I will proudly work to see this future come to fruition.
