HARRISBURG, Oct. 21 – State Rep. Morgan Cephas announced Monday that two schools in her legislative district have been awarded grants of more than $20,000 to put toward safety and security measures.

“The safety of our children is of the highest importance,” Cephas said. “I’m glad to see this money coming to schools in my district and to have funds available to implement new and improved tools to keep our students safe.”

The schools in the 192nd Legislative District awarded Safe Schools Targeted Grants are:

•    West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School, which was awarded $25,000.
