Ciresi honored at Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center meeting
HARRISBURG, Sept. 10 – State Rep. Joe Ciresi, D-Montgomery, recently announced a $40,000 grant for the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center in Limerick. Funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education, this Career and Technical Education (CTE) Supplemental Equipment Purchase grant will boost job readiness and training.
“I has been my privilege to serve the students of my district by helping them obtain this grant,” Ciresi said. “This money will go towards creating a job training program specifically designed for single mothers to land an entry level job in an auto shop, on top of transporting high school students to co-op jobs for hands-on learning and experience. With these jobs in high demand, we can ensure that we are filling these positions and getting more people to work. I am looking forward to continuing my work with WMCTC to make sure it remains a leader in providing technical skills and opportunities.”
