More than $14,000 awarded to Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania

STATE COLLEGE, Dec. 11 – The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission awarded $14,544 to Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania, Rep. Scott Conklin, D-Centre, announced.

The funding from the Cultural and Historical Support Grant Program aims to support the operations of Discovery Science of Central Pennsylvania.

“Through this grant, we continue to support Pennsylvanians’ opportunities to learn more about the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics,” Conklin said. “Thanks to this funding from PHMC, we may support STEM education in central Pennsylvania.”

PHMC awarded nearly $2 million to 158 museums and county historical societies in Pennsylvania, including $18,544 to Centre County.
