Davidson, SEPTA talks progress on 69th Street Transportation Center

HARRISBURG, Oct. 18 – State Rep. Margo Davidson joined SEPTA officials this afternoon to discuss the progress of the construction of the SEPTA-Upper Darby’s new state-of-the-art parking structure for the 69th Street Transportation Center in the municipality.

The 69th Street Parking Garage project addresses the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority’s growing transit ridership and would aid Upper Darby’s local business development and economic growth.

“I am pleased to stand with SEPTA officials today to announce the progress on the 69th Street Parking Garage, which is a direct result of my vote for Act 89.” Davidson said. “The 69th Street Parking Garage will make commuting easier and develop business opportunities in Upper Darby. This is an example of good government at work.”

The parking structure is part of the “Rebuilding the SEPTA System” capital improvement plan to make long-needed upgrades in Pennsylvania’s infrastructure. It is funded by Act 89 of 2013, which Davidson voted for and championed.
