Davidson to host online Housing Crisis Forum Thursday

UPPER DARBY, Oct. 26 – State Rep. Margo Davidson will host an online COVID Housing Crisis Forum with Delaware County Legal Aid from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29. The link to the online streaming event will be posted at RepDavidson.com.

“People in our community our hurting financially during this health emergency,” Davidson said. “I reached out to the experts at Delaware County Legal Aid to help provide guidance for our residents currently facing housing emergencies.”

Residents will have the opportunity to call in and ask questions by calling Davidson’s office line at 610-259-7016.

Davidson and legal experts will help residents understand landlord/tenant issues, utility shutoff possibilities, moratoriums on evictions and appealing county assessments.

Taking office in the PA House in 2010, Davidson is celebrating a decade of service with proven results. Davidson is the first African American woman to be elected leader of the 35-member Pennsylvania House of Representatives Democratic Southeast Delegation – the largest Democratic delegation in the House. Her election as delegation chair marked the latest in firsts for Davidson, who was also the first Democratic woman elected to the state House from Delaware County. She chairs the Democratic Women’s Caucus and is co-chair of the bipartisan Ladies of the House Caucus.
