DeLissio to host 99th Town Hall Sept. 22

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 – State Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., will host her 99th Town Hall meeting via Facebook Live and Microsoft Teams at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Topics to be discussed include the state budget, voting updates for the Nov. 3 general election, the 2020 census and the unemployment compensation process.

“These topics are all vitally important, and the global pandemic has caused many changes and developments in recent months. I look forward to sharing updates and having an informative discussion with my constituents,” DeLissio said.

This will be DeLissio’s seventh consecutive town hall via Facebook Live since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and mitigation efforts necessitated different means to communicate and provide information. She said her office has continued to explore different platforms for hosting town halls and, to date Facebook Live was the best choice as she is not permitted to use Zoom by her caucus. For this town hall she has also added the opportunity for constituents to participate via Microsoft Teams.

“Residents from all parts of the 194th District are welcome to join me for this discussion,” DeLissio said. “I’m looking forward to hosting in-person town halls when we can gather safely once again, but these virtual events have proven to be an effective way to communicate.”

Those interested in joining the meeting via Facebook Live should visit or Join Microsoft Teams Meeting a few minutes prior to 7 p.m. Sept. 22. Comments or questions can be posted live in the comment stream on Facebook Live or the chat feature in Microsoft Teams during the town hall, emailed in advance to, or a message can be left at 215-482-8726.
