March 18 Town Hall will focus on 2015-16 state budget
PHILADELPHIA, March 6 – State Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., announced today her March town hall meeting will feature discussion on Gov. Tom Wolf’s 2015-16 budget proposal.
DeLissio’s 44th Town Hall meeting will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at Philadelphia University’s Tuttleman Auditorium, 4201 Henry Ave., Philadelphia. Free parking is available.
“I hope you’ll join me as we discuss the governor’s budget and how it will impact our community,” DeLissio said. “I look forward to hearing your thoughts and sharing mine.”
This month’s Town Hall will be in East Falls, much of which is a new part of the 194th Legislative District due to redistricting. DeLissio said she welcomes all constituents from all areas of the district to attend.
January’s Town Hall meeting, held at Cathedral Village in Andorra, attracted over 70 constituents from throughout the district, including Upper Roxborough, Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, Bala Cynwyd and Belmont Hills.
“With many analysts and elected officials putting a ‘spin’ on the governor’s budget proposal, please know that the 194th is a no-spin zone! The devil is always in the details and the budget is about details – thousands of them with numerous budget line items effecting our daily lives,” said DeLissio. “I look forward to having a robust dialogue with our many informed and engaged constituents.”
Those who cannot attend the event can submit their questions or legislative concerns to DeLissio at RepDeLissio@pahouse.net or 215-482-8726.
