DeLuca hosting free shredding event May 14
HARRISBURG, May 8 – State Rep. Tony DeLuca, D-Allegheny, will sponsor a free paper shredding event, weather permitting, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 14 in the parking lot of Alcoma Plaza where his office is located, 7205 Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills.
The event is for individuals only, no businesses. Only paper will be accepted. No electronics, floppy discs, CDs or DVDs, magazines, telephone books, spiral notebooks or binders will be accepted. Rubber bands and paper clips must be removed from all papers.
“This is an opportunity for the community to come and dispose of important documents safely,” DeLuca said. “Protecting your information by shredding them is a safe measure to get rid of things you no longer need.”
All papers must be in paper bags or plastic trash bags; no boxes.
Additionally, DeLuca is accepting unexpired, non-perishable food items to donate to the local food bank. A donation is not required to participate in the shredding event.
