Flynn announces over $280K in state grants for Lackawanna County

SCRANTON, Sept. 12 – State Rep. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, announced today that two Lackawanna County outreach organizations have received $280,801 in Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency funding.

Flynn said the following agencies were awarded the grant funding:

  • $182,869 - Women’s Resources Center, Inc.

  • $104,832 - Employment Opportunity and Training Center of Northeast Pa.

                             The Reconnect Program

It’s important that these outreach centers be adequately funded to serve our most underserved citizens in my district,” Flynn said.

The grants will give qualifying people the chance to be trained for employment and provide disadvantaged women the chance to receive guidance and training in order to lead productive lives.
