Scranton, Dec. 16 – State Rep. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, announced a $25,000 Pennsylvania Ben Franklin Technology Partners investment grant has been awarded to JED Pool Tools Inc. to further develop sales and operations planning and to enhance the business productivity.
Flynn said the company manufactures pool and spa maintenance equipment.
“I am pleased that JED Pools has been recognized as a recipient of this grant to enhance their business and allow the company to work with Lehigh University Center for supply chain management,” Flynn said.
Flynn said JED Pool Tools also provides plastic fabrication toll manufacturing through its custom injection molding division, Northeastern Plastics. As the only domestic producer of its line, JED can address difficult international competition and promote reshoring initiatives.
The Lackawanna County lawmaker said Ben Franklin Technology Partners’ strategy encompasses three key areas.

- Supporting established manufacturers as they creatively apply new technology to help them succeed globally by producing better, faster and at a lower cost.
