Bucks County representatives announce $2.38M in state grants to county

LEVITTOWN/NEWTOWN, Dec. 9 -- State Reps. Tina Davis, John Galloway and Perry Warren, all D-Bucks, announced today that the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency awarded $2.38 million in state grants to Bucks County.

“Women and children are among the most vulnerable members of our society,” Davis said. “This grant money will help our county organizations offer greater security and protection to those who need it most at a time when life on the margins is even more perilous due to the pandemic.”

“Many non-profit organizations are hurting for funds because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Galloway said. “I’m very glad that as we enter into a dark winter that state funds will be supporting those organizations who provide life-saving services to Bucks County women and children.”

“These state grants to Bucks County will help reduce violence, provide services to crime victims and enhance county services to probationers and parolees to help them reintegrate into society and reduce recidivism. Collectively, these grants make our communities safer,” Warren said.
