DUNMORE, Dec. 19 – Due to Christmas, the date has changed for the monthly veterans support program next week at the office of state Rep. Kevin Haggerty.
A representative of the American Legion will be in Haggerty's Dunmore office -- located at the Dunmore Community Center, 1414 Monroe Ave. -- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 29 to provide information on services available to veterans and their families, including retirement, benefits and more.
Legion membership is not required to take advantage of the help, but anyone interested is recommended to schedule an appointment through Haggerty’s office at 570-342-2710.
In January, Haggerty’s veterans outreach assistance will return to its regular date of the last Friday of every month.
