Rep. Patrick J. Harkins April 23, 2026 | 2:24 PM
HARRISBURG, April 23 – A $90,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development will help Lawrence Park Township modernize public facilities, strengthen security and upgrade meeting and communications technology, state Rep. Pat Harkins, D-Erie, announced today.
“This investment will allow Lawrence Park Township to modernize critical systems that residents rely on every day,” said Harkins. “By improving financial oversight, facility security and meeting technology, we’re strengthening the township’s ability to serve the community now and into the future.”
The funding, awarded through DCED’s Strategic Management Planning Program, will be directed toward contracting outside accounting services to improve financial management, modernizing security systems at public facilities to enhance safety and upgrading audio-visual equipment to support more accessible and effective public meetings and community programming.
Township leaders say these targeted investments will strengthen the township’s operations and service access, contributing to broader community revitalization.
