Hill-Evans applauds over half a million in Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits

State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans, D-York, today announced over $500,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits that will directly benefit the 95th Legislative District. This funding was awarded through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) which supports nonprofits, businesses, and resident projects in distressed areas or low-income neighborhoods.

There were 6 organizations in Hill-Evans’s district that received funding through these tax credits. They are listed below:

  • Crispus Attucks York received $242,875
  • The Y Community Development Corp. of York received $187,500
  • YMCA of York received $37,500
  • Spanish American Multicultural Resource Center of York received $22,500
  • York County Food Bank received $12,100
  • YWCA of York received $30,000

The NAP program is designed to encourage investment in distressed communities by providing tax credits to businesses that donate capital. The program can be used for projects such as affordable housing, education, charitable food, crime prevention and other long-term community revitalization.
