Hill-Evans: $744K awarded for community projects under Crispus Attucks, West York Borough Police, York County libraries & more

YORK, March 26  New funding of $743,916 from the Commonwealth Financing Authority will support multiple community infrastructure and revitalization projects across the 95th Legislative District, State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans announced today.

“Looking at what this funding will make possible—more opportunities for young people to grow and explore careers, upgraded spaces that help nonprofits stretch every dollar, and stronger support for neighbors with disabilities—it’s clear York is a community that leads with compassion,” Hill-Evans said. “I’m proud the state recognizes the value of these projects and grateful to help advocate for the people doing this important work.”

The grants were awarded by the CFA via the Statewide Local Share Account program, which distributes gaming revenue to support regional projects in the public interest. The York County Economic Alliance assisted various organizations in applying for their grants.

The following projects in the 95th Legislative District were awarded funding:

Spring Garden Township:

  • $56,672 to Victory Fire Co. to purchase a snow removal vehicle.

West York Borough:

  • $64,732 to York Habitat for Humanity to replace its aging and water-damaged roof.
