STATE GRANT PROGRAMS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS:

Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol: Police Diversion to Treatment  (Funding Source: Federal Funding)

Who May ApplySingle county authorities (county drug and alcohol offices).

Use: To establish or expand a treatment diversion program for individuals with an opioid use disorder who are arrested.

Funds: Approximately five to ten awards up to $300,000 each will be awarded.

Application Deadline: October 23 at 12 PM.

Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol: Pregnancy Support Services  (Funding Source: Federal Funding)

Who May Apply: Community service providers able to serve pregnant and postpartum women with stimulant or opioid misuse issues.  Single County Authorities (county drug and alcohol offices) are not eligible to apply.

Use:  To provide pregnancy support services or make referrals to aid pregnant and postpartum women with opioid use disorder.

Funds: Five to eight grants up to $400,000 each will be awarded for one-year projects. There is a possibility of a one-year renewal.

Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission/DCED: PA Historic Preservation Incentive Tax Credit  (Funding Source: General Fund)

Who May Apply: An individual, corporation, business trust, limited liability company, limited liability partnership, or any other form of legal business entity that owns a commercial property.  Residential properties are not eligible.

Use: Rehabilitation/restoration of a qualified historic structure, according to a qualified rehabilitation plan.  See guidelines at link below to determine “qualified historic structure” status.

Funds: A tax credit for up to 30 percent of qualified expenditures, with a maximum of $500,000 in tax credits per entity.

Application Deadline: October 31. Reservation of tax credits is first-come, first-served based on date of submission.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Driving PA Forward – Truck and Bus Fleet Grant Program  (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)

Who May ApplySchool districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, nonprofits, corporations, air quality or transportation organizations, and others.

UseTo replace or repower fleets of 6 or more Class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses May be powered by diesel, electric, or other alternative fuels.

Funds: Cost-share program, sliding percentage

Application Deadline: November 13 at 4 PM.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Driving PA Forward – Onroad Rebate Program – Trucks and Buses  (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)

Who May ApplySchool districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, nonprofits, corporations, air quality or transportation organizations, and others.

UseRebates for projects that replace or repower fleets of 5 or fewer class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses with new diesel, electric, or alternative fuels.

Funds: Rebates vary based on type of vehicle. A single entity may be awarded no more than $500,000 in rebates.

Application Deadline: Application window will remain open through December 2020 or until all funds are committed.

  • PENNDOT Multimodal Transportation Fund: November 6 (Funding Source: Multimodal Transportation Fund)
  • Municipalities (including counties), school districts, council of governments, businesses, nonprofits, economic development organizations, public transit agencies, ports, rail/freight entities.- Road, bridge, streetscape, port, rail, aviation, transit, bicycle and pedestrian related projects.
  • PCCD 2021 Community Violence Prevention and Reduction: November 10  (Funding Source: School Safety and Security Fund)
  • Municipalities, counties, institutions of higher education, and community-based organizations. - Evidence-based programs and services to reduce community violence.
  • DEP Alternative Fuels Incentive Vehicle Grant: December 11  (Funding Source: Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants Fund)
  • School districts, municipal authorities, municipalities, nonprofits, private businesses. - Purchase or retrofit vehicles to operate on alternative fuels, purchase and install refueling equipment, and research or develop new technologies.
