Recognizing ‘Concrete Pavement Week’ in Pennsylvania

In recognition of Concrete Pavement Week, June 28-July 4, 2026, in Pennsylvania, state Rep. Ed Neilson, chair of the PA House Transportation Committee, issued the following statement:

“The concrete pavement industry not only fosters economic development and creates well-paying, secure jobs, but also helps ensure our vast network of roads and bridges remains resilient while requiring minimal long-term maintenance.

“Pennsylvania has made significant environmental progress through advancements in concrete paving, including the use of recycled materials, cooler pavement surfaces and improved driving conditions that enhance vehicle efficiency. We recognize that investing in concrete infrastructure is in Pennsylvania’s best interest because it stands the test of time and will continue to benefit future generations.”
