Census 2020: Everyone Counts

Census 2020: Everyone Counts

6 to 8 p.m.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh: 5540 Forbes Avenue, Oakland

The City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and the Carnegie Library are teaming up to promote awareness for the 2020 Census on April 1st.

With over 302,000 residents in the City of Pittsburgh, and 1.25 million people in Allegheny County, there is a great deal of work to do in making sure all residents are aware, educated, and empowered to act when the Census 2020 questionnaire arrives.

The Census determines how much federal funding our area receives to support schools, hospitals, infrastructure, and community-based services throughout Allegheny County. It is estimated that our community loses almost $2,000 per person who goes uncounted. That is almost $20,000 per person over 10 years that is lost in the region. Our regional goal is to make sure 100% of residents are counted.

Join this event at the Carnegie Library and help our region achieve a complete count! Refreshments (and cookies) will be provided, and the event is free for everyone.
