Advisory: Kim to host Steel-High football team, Micah Parsons Thursday

HARRISBURG, May 5 – State Rep. Patty Kim, D-Dauphin, will host an event honoring champions of the 103^rd Legislative District at 1 p.m. Thursday on the steps in front of the Capitol. 

The event will honor the accomplishments of the Steelton-Highspire High School football team and recent first-round NFL Draft pick Micah Parsons.

• Steel-High won the PIAA Class A championship in November, defeating Jeannette, 32-20, to complete its undefeated season. It marked the third state championship in the football program’s history.
   
• Micah Parsons was the 12^th overall player selected in last week’s NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys selected Parsons, who graduated from Penn State in December. He played at Penn State during 2018-19 before opting out of the 2020 season. Parsons is a graduate of Harrisburg High School.
