Kosierowski opens district office, receives committee assignments

HARRISBURG, April 15 – Following her swearing-in last week, state Rep. Bridget M. Kosierowski opened her district office and was appointed to three key House committees.

“We’ve hit the ground running by keeping the same office in Taylor that was run by my predecessor Sid Kavulich. It will allow people to visit a familiar location and see faces they recognize when they stop in for assistance on state-related issues,” said Kosierowski, D-Lackawanna.

The office is at 802 S. Main St. in Taylor. The phone number is 570-562-2350. Her Capitol office address is 106B East Wing, PO Box 202114, Harrisburg, PA 17120-2114. The phone number is 717-783-4874.

Her office also may be contacted via her website www.pahouse.com/kosierowski. She is starting a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RepBridget and Twitter account @RepBridget where she will provide information about district issues and legislative updates from the state Capitol.

The committee assignments she received are: Aging and Older Adult Services, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Game and Fisheries committees.

“I’m ready to learn about the important issues facing each of these committees,” she said. “Our state has one of the highest concentrations of older residents in the country, so the Aging committee impacts many Pennsylvanians’ daily lives. Agriculture is one of our state’s largest industries and I look forward to finding out about the people and programs that help to put food on the table across the country. Fishing and hunting are immensely popular activities, and I’m eager to discover what’s on the minds of outdoor enthusiasts.”
