|Fighting to protect public health and safety
This week, we fought back on a package of bills that would roll back commonsense regulations to protect our air, our water, worker people and our kids.
Four of the bills passed narrowly, despite our efforts, but we were able to defeat one, H.B. 1055, which would have created a “repealer” office that could have demanded the repeal of any regulation or rule that corporate special interests want gone.
The votes were a lot closer than when we fought these same bills last session, and that’s a testament to the fact that voters chose to send more pro-environment legislators to Harrisburg last year. Hear more in the video.
