Krueger-Braneky presents $100,000 grant to Milmont Fire Co.
FOLSOM, Nov. 28 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger-Braneky announced Tuesday that the Milmont Fire Co. was awarded $100,000 in state funds for building improvements.
The funding was awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Keystone Communities program.
“Volunteer fire companies provide crucial services to our community, so it’s important that we do everything we can to support them,” said Krueger-Braneky, D-Delaware. “I was pleased to support the Milmont Fire Company’s application for this funding, and I’ll continue to look for ways we can help our first responders.”
Krueger-Braneky announced the funds Tuesday evening at Milmont Fire Co.
The Keystone Communities program is designed to encourage the creation of partnerships between the public and private sectors in the community, supporting local initiatives that grow and stabilize neighborhoods and communities, ensure social and economic diversity, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
