Krueger-Braneky to host veteran’s expo, shred event

SWARTHMORE, Oct. 17 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger-Braneky, D-Delaware, announced today that she will be hosting a veteran’s expo and a shred event this week open to residents of the 161st Legislative District.

The veteran’s expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at American Legion Hall, Post 926, 3220 Concord Road, Aston. Veterans and enlisted members of the military, as well as family members, can stop by to speak with Krueger-Braneky and her staff about state resources available to assist veterans. They can also visit with the Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans’ Van, which will be on hand to assist accredited veterans and their family members in connecting them with needed benefits.

The shred event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Ridley High School tennis court parking lot, 901 Morton Ave., Folsom. Residents of the 161st District are invited to stop by and drop off any paperwork containing sensitive information, such as social security paperwork, banking information or credit card statements, to be safely and securely shredded and disposed of.
