New grants to boost our communities and give your feedback for the Bus Line Redesign

I’m excited to announce nearly $750,000 in state grants for our area! These funds will improve accessibility in Carnegie's parks, enhance the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western PA's clubhouse in Carnegie, support Mancini’s Bakery’s expansion, and upgrade a waterline in Robinson Township. I appreciate having Sen. Robinson and Sen. Fontana joining me in working towards these grants.

I also want to share that $150,000 in state funding from the Department of Community and Economic Development has been awarded to six of our local fire departments for operational support and equipment. These departments keep our communities safe, and I’m proud to have helped secure this funding for them.

GAME & FISHERIES COMMITTEE READY TO WORK

While in Harrisburg last week, I chaired the meeting of the House Game and Fisheries Committee and reported to the Speaker of the House that the committee is prepared to do business.

I also had meetings with the Directors of the Game Commission and the Fish and Boat Commission to discuss legislative priorities and other matters.

I am looking forward to a productive year for the Committee.

GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK TO THE BUS LINE REDESIGN

Bus Line Redesign recently unveiled its Draft Network 1.0 for proposed changes to Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) bus routes, which could significantly impact public transportation in our area. This draft is open for feedback, which will help shape Draft Network 2.0.

If you or someone you know may be negatively affected, please share your thoughts. For more information, visit https://engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesign. You can submit comments directly on the Draft Network 1.0 map, email the PRT team at buslineredesign@rideprt.org, or call PRT Customer Service at 412-442-2000.

It is important to continue to reach out to PRT with any issues residents have with the proposed changes to bus service. I will keep on top of transportation issues in our communities - please reach out if you have concerns and I will convey them to PRT.
