PA HOUSE PASSES MY MENTORED YOUTH TRAPPING PROGRAM BILL

Pennsylvania has a proud trapping tradition, and as chair of the House Game & Fisheries Committee, I believe mentorship is the key to keeping it alive for generations to come.

I'm pleased that my legislation for a mentored youth trapping program has passed the House and is headed to the Senate for consideration.

FIRST PRT READYFARE MACHINE INSTALLED

Pittsburgh Regional Transit has installed the first ReadyFare Machine at Penn Station.

Nearly 80 machines will be installed system-wide over the next several months to help riders with the upcoming transition from ConnectCard to the new ReadyFare system.

What to know:

  • New ReadyFare cards will be available at machines for $1.
  • Registered ConnectCard users will be notified by mail or email to request a new ReadyFare card be mailed to them at no cost.
  • Existing ConnectCard balances can be transferred to ReadyFare.
  • Ready2Ride users don’t need to do anything. It already runs on the same platform as ReadyFare and can continue to be used to pay fares.
  • ConnectCards will still work through late 2026.

For more information about ReadyFare, visit rideprt.org/readyfare.
