As the chair of the House Game and Fisheries Committee, I want to remind hunters that today, Monday, July 27, marks the second round of antlerless license sales for both resident and nonresident hunters.

Remaining antlerless licenses will be available on a first come, first served basis.

One antlerless license can be purchased per round in the first three rounds.

Licenses can be purchased online at huntfish.pa.gov or at a PA Game Commission issuing agent location.

I joined my colleagues for a House Majority Policy Committee roundtable on affordable housing and public transit at Castle Shannon Library. We toured local transportation options, spoke with housing and transportation experts, and examined the need for starter housing in Allegheny County.

If you’re a first-time student heading to community college, trade school, or another eligible program, make sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by August 1, 2026, to be considered for a PA State Grant award.

For qualifying students, the maximum 2026-27 PA State Grant award is $6,000. The amount awarded is based on your financial situation and the type of school you choose to attend in Pennsylvania.

If you miss the PA State Grant deadline for the academic year, apply anyway. Late applications (for terms other than summer) may qualify for awards if funding permits.
