Changes to Medicaid, also known as Medical Assistance in Pennsylvania, are coming on January 1, 2027, because of changes to federal law. More information is expected to be released, but here is what you need to know for now:

• Some adults will need to renew their Medicaid Plan every six months instead of annually.
• A new requirement means some adults enrolled in Medicaid will need to participate in work, school, job training, volunteering, or other community activities.

If you receive Medicaid, now is a good time to make sure your mailing address and contact information are up to date with DHS so you don't miss important notices about these changes.

The Bus Line Refresh Public Comment Period opens August 17! The proposed final network, designed to provide more frequent service and stronger connection, comes after three years and more than 20,000 comments.

From August 17 through September 30, review the final network and learn how the proposed changes could affect your trip. Your comments during this period will go to the PRT Board, helping them understand how the proposal will work for riders and what might need more attention before they vote on whether to adopt the plan.

The Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit was first passed in last year’s state budget, and since then, nearly $217 million has been returned to working families. The credit is an addition to the Earned Income Tax Credit you already file for!
