NEARLY $2 MILLION IN STATE GRANTS FOR LOCAL PROJECTS

I'm excited to share that nearly $2 million in state grants has been awarded to seven projects across the 45th Legislative District. This funding will support upgrades to local parks, public buildings, and water infrastructure in Bridgeville, Carnegie, Coraopolis, Kennedy Township, McKees Rocks, Neville Township, and Robinson Township.

These projects support the things residents count on every day. I'm proud to have helped secure this funding and look forward to seeing the impact it makes in our communities.

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF MANCINI’S BREAD

I was proud to join Governor Shapiro, state Sen. Wayne Fontana, and local officials in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mancini's Bakery. This family-owned, iconic bakery in McKees Rocks makes amazing bread, the taste of which is embedded in the memories of so many of us in Southwestern Pennsylvania! I appreciate Mary Mancini Hartner and her son Nick for hosting our tour. The governor even got a lesson from Nick on making the iconic twist loaves while learning the family's history and that of the bakery.

Thank you to the Mancini family for all they've done for our Sto-Rox community.

APPLY TODAY FOR THE PROPERTY TAX/RENT REBATE PROGRAM

The deadline to apply for rebates on rent and property taxes paid in 2025 through the Department of Revenue’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) Program is December 31.

The program helps older adults and people with disabilities 18 or older receive a rebate ranging from $380 to $1,000 on property taxes or rent paid in 2025. The amount of money received is based on income.

FALL SHRED EVENT

Join me on Saturday, October 3, at the Bridgeville Fire Hall for my annual shred event! This is a great opportunity to protect your personal information.

Bring paperwork that may contain sensitive details, such as outdated bank statements or credit card records, to be destroyed safely and securely on site.

My staff will be on hand as well to help answer any questions about state programs and services that are available to you.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

The general election for 2026 is Tuesday, November 3. The deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania is October 19. That’s also the deadline to update your voter registration to your new name, address, or party affiliation. Click here to register to vote.

Here are other key dates to remember:

Tuesday, Oct. 27– Last day to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot.
Tuesday, Nov. 3 – Election Day: Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters must be in line by 8 p.m. to cast their ballot. Mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by your county election office by 8 p.m.
