LIHEAP accepting applications for heating assistance this winter

Low-income Pennsylvanians can apply now for heating cost help through the state's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Applications will be accepted through the winter.

LIHEAP offers cash grants of $200 to $1,000 that are sent directly to the utility company, and crisis benefits of $25 to $500 for households in immediate danger of being without heat. If you’re living in a family of four and have a household income less than $36,450, you qualify for LIHEAP.

You can apply online through Pennsylvania's COMPASS website or at the county assistance office.

Applications are also available at my district office. Please stop by or give us a call if you need assistance completing the application.
