Daley receives 2015-16 House committee assignments
HARRISBURG, Jan. 22 – State Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, announced that she has been named to five standing committees within the House of Representatives.
Those committees are:
- Aging and Older Adult Services
- State Government
"I am honored to return to the House Health, Finance, and State Government Committees during my second term as representative," Daley said.
Daley added she is eager to serve on the Aging and Older Adult Services and Appropriations committees for the first time. Appropriations considers fiscal-related matters and conducts budget hearings to review and evaluate the governor’s executive budget proposal.
"While Pennsylvania is facing several challenges, one of the biggest is dealing with a budget deficit of $2.3 billion," Daley said. "With Governor Tom Wolf as our governor, I am confident that my Democratic colleagues and I will now have a seat at the table to assist with closing this massive gap and bringing a more balanced budget."
