Daley to host free paper shredding event April 16
CONSHOHOCKEN, April 6 – State Rep. Mary Jo Daley announced she will host a free shredding event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16 in the old “Annie Sez” parking lot next to Staples at 925 Montgomery Ave., Narberth.
"This is a great opportunity for my constituents to destroy unwanted documents that contain personal information which could be used by identity thieves,” Daley said. "I'm pleased that my staff and I can provide this public service."
Unwanted items that should be shredded include credit card statements, credit card applications, bank statements, canceled checks, income tax information, insurance records and retirement or pension fund information.
Residents are asked to not bring items that include plastics, such as page protectors, binders and checkbook covers; and metals, such as large spring clips, wire from wire-bound notebooks and file folders with metal prongs. Cassettes, binders, plastics, magazines, newspapers and books also will not be accepted.
This event is only for residential documents. Business documents will not be accepted.
Documents will be shredded on site.
