Madden: Mervine Road project awarded more than $500,000
HARRISBURG, Feb. 1 – State Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, announced today that a Stroud Township project will receive more than $500,000 in funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The $521,616 grant will assist the township in replacing an existing steel beam crossing that carries Mervine Road over Cherry Creek, allowing motor vehicles and pedestrians to continue accessing the road.
“I am happy to see this important project receive support from the state and PennDOT,” Madden said. “This grant will provide important improvements to Mervine Road, ensuring the safety of our community members and general maintenance benefitting those who regularly utilize the roadway.”
