Madden hosting Women’s Day Expo this Saturday in Stroudsburg
STROUDSBURG, June 21 – Offering various resources, information and exhibits, state Rep. Maureen Madden will host her next Women’s Day Expo this Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Stroudsburg High School cafeteria.
The high school is located at 1100 W. Main St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
The event will feature health screenings, free menstrual supplies, NARCAN training and distribution (with nearly 100 kits available to share with attendees), representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, a 3D Mobile Mammography bus, blood pressure and fall-risk screenings, artist exhibits, and a whole lot more, Madden said.
“Despite the name, this isn’t just an event for women; all are invited to attend, as I’m confident all will find something of value at my upcoming Women’s Day Expo,” said Madden, who previously hosted women’s expo events from 2017-19 before the COVID-19 pandemic shelved plans the last two years.
“So, we’re coming back better than ever and bringing in agencies and organizations who will be able to teach and assist people of all ages about different state-related and other local programs available to them and their families.”
Among the agencies and organizations participating are Lehigh Valley Health Network, Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug & Alcohol Commission, Metamorphosis Women’s Empowerment Initiative, Monroe County Meals on Wheels, Maternal and Family Health Services, NEPA Inclusive, Pocono Dad Project, Nurse-Family Partnership, Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly, Operation Chillout PA, Women’s Resources of Monroe County, Pocono Family YMCA, Pennsylvania Department of Health, League of Women Voters, St. Luke’s University Health Network, and PHEAA.
