Souderton senior center receives funding for security upgrades

SOUDERTON, April 19 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, announced today that Generations of Indian Valley Senior Adult Activity Center has been awarded $70,000 in state funding to modernize its security systems.

"Ensuring the safety and well-being of our older adult population is a top priority; This funding will help Generations of Indian Valley provide a safe environment where our seniors can continue to engage, socialize and thrive,” Malagari said. "Thank you to everyone involved in providing a safe and welcoming space for our seniors to enjoy their golden years."

The grant will provide for the purchase and installation of comprehensive security upgrades, including new cameras, sensors, fire alarms and panic buttons.

Generations of Indian Valley, founded in 1967 as The Senior Adult Activity Center of Indian Valley, serves over 4,000 active adults in Souderton, Telford, Franconia, and surrounding areas with programs in wellness, nutrition, social services, recreation, travel and more.
