Matzie sworn in for fifth state House term

HARRISBURG, Jan. 3 – State Rep. Rob Matzie, D-Beaver/Allegheny, was sworn in today for his fifth term serving residents of the 16th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives

Today’s ceremony marks the beginning of the 2017-2018 legislative session, the 201st of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The state House returns to voting session Jan. 23.

“I intend to continue the job of putting Pennsylvania and our people before partisan politics, focusing on jobs and the economy – and ensuring the voices and needs of my district and region are represented in Harrisburg,” Matzie said.

Matzie also will continue to serve as chairman of the Southwest County Delegation.
