Mayes appointed to PA House Human Services Committee

HARRISBURG, Oct. 4 – As of Monday, Oct. 2, state Rep. La’Tasha D. Mayes, D-Allegheny, has been appointed as a member of the PA House Human Services Committee.

“Now, with my appointment to the Human Services Committee, I will work to advance legislation to ensure all Pennsylvanians have access to the social services they need,” Mayes said. “I look forward to working with the majority chair of the committee, Representative Stephen Kinsey, and my fellow members of the House Human Services Committee.”

Mayes also serves on the Appropriations Committee, Environmental Resources & Energy Committee, Health Committee and Judiciary Committee. She is chair of the Joint Subcommittee on Women and Girls of Color for both the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus and Pennsylvania Women’s Health Caucus.
