Learn More about REAL ID—and Save Time at the DMV

Not certain whether your documents will pass muster with the DMV? Unsure whether you even need a REAL ID? Come to my REAL ID event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Curtis Hall, 1250 W. Church Road, Wyncote, PA 19095. A PennDOT expert will be on hand to explain what the REAL ID is, whether you need one and what is required to get one. The PennDOT expert will also check your identifying documents and alert you to any problems. RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Get Free Eye Care and Glasses for Kids 17 and Younger

Public Citizens for Children + Youth is sponsoring Give Kids Sight Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Jefferson Alumni Hall, 10th and Locust Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Children 17 years old and younger are eligible for free eye care and eyeglasses. No health insurance required. Walk-ins only. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Learn More About Montgomery County’s New Voting System
Montgomery County Voter Services is hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at College Hall, Montgomery County Community College, 340 Morris Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Five simulated polling locations will be in place so you can experience the new voting system. For more information on the new voting system, click here.
Have a Conversation with a Local Legislator at the Montgomery County Legislative Summit
The PA House Democrats Montgomery County Delegation is sponsoring a Montgomery County Legislative Summit from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7 at the Science Center Theater at Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, Whitpain Township, PA 19422. The summit is open to the public and will include a discussion of current legislative priorities and initiatives to improve quality of life in Montgomery County. You can also join small group conversations with legislative leaders on the topics that matter most to you. I hope to see you there!
Engage with Local Legislators on Gun Safety

Join myself and others as we discuss gun safety in Pennsylvania at state Rep. Ben Sanchez’s Gun Safety Panel and Discussion on October 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Abington Friends School, 575 Washington Lane, Jenkintown, PA 19046. There will be news on legislation and ample time for questions.
Stop by My Table at the Cheltenham Community Harvest Festival
The Cheltenham Township Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 29th annual community Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 12 from noon to dusk at Curtis Arboretum, 1250 W. Church Road, Wyncote, PA 19095. There will be live music, delicious food, hayrides, a petting zoo, face painting and a firework finale. Stop by my office’s table! Admission is free and there’s plenty of onsite parking. Rain date: Sunday, October 13.
Swing by My Office After 5
My office and United States Congresswoman Madeleine Dean’s office will be staying open late on Wednesday, October 16, to allow constituents who are unable to visit our offices during normal business hours full access to state- and federal government-related services. No appointments are necessary. Simply come to 115 E. Glenside Ave., Glenside, PA 19038. My office is in Suite 8; U.S. Congresswoman Dean’s office is just steps away in Suite 1.
Come to my Town Hall Meeting on the Climate Crisis
Here in Pennsylvania and across the globe, every industry, every project and every sector will be impacted by climate change and the coming climate crisis. It will require creativity and dedication to assure communities and workers impacted that they will not be left behind to suffer the ravages of change while others benefit. My upcoming Town Hall Meeting—from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.on Thursday, October 17 at the Springfield Township Administration Building, 1510 Paper Mill Road, Wyndmoor, PA 19038—will be a panel discussion of what’s happening locally as well as globally as our climate changes.
