Over 200 constituents attend Southwest Philadelphia Fall Festival
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 1– State Reps. Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, and Jordan Harris, D-Phila., welcomed more than 200 children and their families at the annual Southwest Philadelphia Fall Festival on Thursday.
“It was such a joy bringing children and families together to enjoy fun-filled activities and receive candy in a safe and healthy environment,” McClinton said.
Children were encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and were treated to candy, family-friendly activities, food and refreshments. The event featured health screenings, including a toothbrush demonstration and giveaway by Penn Dental Medicine.
Attendees also had the opportunity to gather information on a variety of local organizations and state programs.
McClinton thanked the 12th District Police of Philadelphia, The Common Place, Penn Dental Medicine, Miss Pennsylvania 2020 Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq., ASAP: After School Activities Partnerships, and various community partners.
“It’s important that we keep this momentum of community cohesion, not only through family-friendly activities, but also through promoting healthy lifestyles and providing constituent services,” McClinton said. “Thank you to my colleague Representative Harris, the community at-large and our sponsors for a successful Southwest Philadelphia Fall Festival!”
McClinton hosted the event in partnership with Harris, The Common Place, the 12th Police District of Philadelphia, Mercy Health System, and Cousin’s Supermarket.
