Rep. McNeill: $60,000 in state funding for Whitehall Parkway Pavilion

WHITEHALL, Sept. 17 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-Lehigh, today announced $60,000 in funding has been awarded to Whitehall Township to construct a Whitehall Parkway Pavilion through the state’s Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program.

The project will consist of installing a pre-engineered open-air pavilion with restrooms and concession areas in Whitehall Parkway.

“This project is an important part of Lehigh Valley’s recreational and tourism attractions, which host many visitors throughout the year,” McNeill said.

Mc Neill said the Whitehall Parkway is a 110-acre park near the center of the township. Total project cost is $132,088.

The grant is administered by state’s Commonwealth Financing Authority.
