REAL ID Deadline Approaching
Beginning May 7, 2025, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, photo ID card, or another federally accepted form of identification, such as a passport, to board domestic flights or access federal facilities.
While obtaining a REAL ID is not mandatory, planning ahead is key if you choose to apply. Simply visit a PennDOT Driver License Center and bring the required documents, including proof of identity, your Social Security number, and evidence of Pennsylvania residency. For detailed guidance and a list of required documents, explore PennDOT’s REAL ID website.
Taking these steps now ensures you're prepared for future travel and access needs!
