Mt. Lebanon road project selected for grant
Grant will help fund improvements to Washington Road
HARRISBURG, March 26 – A $750,000 state grant will help to fund a streetscape improvement project along Washington Road, state Rep. Dan Miller, D-Allegheny, announced today.
The grant will help the township with funding improvements along portions of Washington Road, including the replacement of sidewalks and the addition of lighting to allow for safer pedestrian travel.
“This grant will allow Mt. Lebanon to make needed safety improvements along this important commercial corridor,” Miller said. “In addition to improving safety, this public investment also will help the community attract private investment and additional development in the downtown area.”
The grant was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund. The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure safe transportation is available to all Pennsylvania residents.
